Are you going to the Home Improvement Show the weekend of October 6-8, 2017?
This is the 35th annual Lane County Home Improvement Show, located at the Lane Events Center Fairgrounds in Eugene. Home Improvement Shows are a great way to get inspired about home remodels and renovations. You can learn from the experts how to safely and inexpensively make the most of your residence. From boosting your curb appeal to maximizing space efficiently, you’ll also learn about the newest technologies for the home, garage and garden. Best of all, both admission and parking are free with your donation of canned goods. Help your Lane County neighbors provide healthy meals for their family while you have the chance to see the latest and greatest in home design and remodeling in our region.
The Home Improvement Show will feature up to 250 exhibits including products and services for the home and garage. Plus there are seminars taught by experts in home and garden transformations. There will also be several dozen classes that you can choose from, including Tile & Stone Design, Grilling, Empty Nest Remodeling, Landscaping, Tiny Houses and Home Heating Upgrades. Learn from the pros how to make your home more beautiful, efficient and cozy.
Events
Cabinologist Dale Mulfinger is headlining the Lane County Home Improvement show. He’ll be speaking each day about designing, building and remodeling Getaway Homes and Classic American Cabins. The author of four books as well as an award-winning architect, Dale is considered a leading expert in cabin design in North America.
Kids and families will enjoy the gigantic 900-pound pumpkin carving on Saturday, October 7th. Master Pumpkin Carver Scott Cully will spend 10 hours creating a scary Jack O’Lantern to thrill our audiences. Children can also spend time at the Wildlife Safari Animal Encounter on Saturday morning at 11am. The Animal Encounter is presented by Mutual of Omaha and will be held in Meeting Room 1 – Cabin Stage.
Attendees have the opportunity to vote for their favorite architectural projects during the show. These awards will showcase a variety of interior and landscaping architecture projects in southwest Oregon. There are also up to $5,000 in prizes being given away by KEZI-9. The Lane County Fall Home Improvement Show is one of three home shows this year in our area. There is also a Good Earth Home, Garden & Living Show in January 2018 and the Lane County Spring Home & Garden Show next March.
